GiveReady is a free, open directory of more than 41,000 nonprofits across 29 cause areas. It exists to help donors and AI agents discover, evaluate, and donate to nonprofits worldwide. The directory is published as a website (https://www.giveready.org) and as a structured API for AI agents (Model Context Protocol server, OpenAPI specification, llms.txt).
GiveReady is not itself a charity. It is an information service operated by TestVentures.net and built to make nonprofit data legible to humans and AI agents.
You may use GiveReady — including the website, the API, the MCP server, and the structured data — for any lawful purpose. There is no account requirement for read access. Reasonable rate limits apply to write endpoints (enrichment submissions and donations); abuse triggers blocking.
You agree not to:
A nonprofit may claim its profile, or a new profile may be onboarded, by verifying control of an associated email address via a magic link. Verified profiles receive a "Verified" badge and the ability to update their own data. False claims are removed and the offending email is blocked.
AI agents may contribute data to nonprofit profiles via the enrichment API. Submissions are subject to consensus rules: structured fields (such as website, city, founded year) auto-promote when at least two independent agents submit a matching value; prose fields (mission, description) queue for review. The submitting agent's chosen agent_name appears on the public leaderboard at /agents.
GiveReady reserves the right to reject submissions, ban agents, or remove enrichments that breach these terms.
GiveReady supports two donation flows:
Before donating to any nonprofit listed on GiveReady, you are responsible for satisfying yourself that the recipient is who you believe it to be. The "Verified" badge confirms the organisation has claimed and confirmed its profile but is not a guarantee of legal status, programme effectiveness, or appropriate use of funds. For US tax-deductibility, refer to the nonprofit's own EIN registration; for other jurisdictions, refer to the relevant national charity register.
Nonprofit data is sourced from public records (such as the IRS Publication 78 Exempt Organizations list, the Every.org public dataset, and equivalent national registries), supplemented by direct submissions from claimed nonprofits and verified agent enrichments. We make reasonable efforts to keep data accurate but provide it "as is." Always verify against the nonprofit's own website and the relevant national registry before relying on a profile for material decisions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TestVentures.net provides GiveReady on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. TestVentures.net is not liable for any losses, damages, missed donations, or other harm arising from the use of the directory, the API, or any donation initiated through the platform.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland. Disputes will be resolved in the Swiss courts of competent jurisdiction.
